Shamini Jain, PhD, is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit Consciousness and Healing Initiative (CHI), a collaborative accelerator of scientists, healers, artists, and educators to help lead humanity to heal themselves. She is also adjunct faculty at UC San Diego, where she is an active member of the UCSD Center for Integrative Health. She received her BA degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University and her Ph.D. from the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology with a research focus in psychoneuroimmunology. She has received numerous awards for her published studies in biofield healing practices and meditation. Rabbi Rami Shapiro is an award–winning author of over thirty-six books on religion and spirituality. He received rabbinical ordination from the Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion and holds a PH.D. in religion from Union Graduate School. Hoda Mahmoudi, PhD, has held The Bahá’í Chair for World Peace at the University of Maryland, College Park since 2012. As director of this endowed academic program, Professor Mahmoudi collaborates with a wide range of scholars, researchers, and practitioners to advance interdisciplinary analysis and open discourse on global peace. Before joining the University of Maryland faculty, Professor Mahmoudi served as the coordinator of the Research Department at the Bahá’í World Centre in Haifa, Israel. Prior to that, Dr. Mahmoudi was Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Northeastern Illinois University, where she was also a faculty member in the Department of Sociology. Professor Mahmoudi is co-author of A World Without War (Bahá’í Publishing, 2020), co-editor of Fundamental Challenges to Peace and Security: The Future of Humanity (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), and co-editor of Systemic Racism in America: Sociological Theory, Education Inequality, and Social Change (Routledge, 2022). Yuka Saionji Matsuura is deputy chairperson of Goi Peace Foundation and Byakko Shinko Kai, a spiritual organization dedicated to world peace and raising the consciousness of humanity that originated in Japan over 50 years ago. She is a board member of the Miratsuku (which means emerging future), a nonprofit organization working on community-building through dialogue. Yuka is a member of the Evolutionary Leaders and World Spirit Youth Council. She works with youth around the world on projects for peace. She has a degree in law from Gakushuin University in Japan. After receiving her International Harp Therapy Program certification, Tami Briggs founded Musical Reflections located in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1999. She has produced 15 CDs for relaxation and written two books. Her newest project is fulfilling her dream of using her harp for world peace by founding Healing Harps for Global Peace and Unity (harpists around the world who play with love for unity, peace and planetary healing). Through the vibrations of the harp, the musical intention is to help you connect with your own inner peace so that you can radiate it out bringing peace and calm to the world. Prior to Musical Reflections, she co-founded a cross-cultural training company. Tami developed training materials for 35 countries and helped business people on five continents increase their international business success by developing cross-cultural skills. She has lived and worked in Switzerland, and taught American culture in Kyoto, Japan. Tami has an MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
